Smashing cans

Sherriff brought me to the first working place. Here, a first selection of the waste was made. Metal with metal, hard plastics with hard plastics, soft plastics with soft plastics. Furthermore, they made an effort to make the waste as small possible, so that more bags could fit on the famous truck. 

 

Here you can see a younger boy smashing metal cans. By filling the empty cans with different metal objects, the space is used in an efficient way. Subsequently, he smashes the cans with an iron pounding stick. What was left was a flat and round metal brick, ready for the next round.
